Habib Basmati is an aromatic rice, delicately flavoured to complement Pakistani cuisine. Westmill Foods select only the finest paddy which is aged for at least one year in Pakistan before shipment to the UK for cleaning and milling at the company’s mill in North Yorkshire.

Basmati rice is grown in the Punjab region of both Pakistan and India and it is the soil and climate conditions which help give Basmati its unique flavour and texture.

The kernels are long and thin, and elongate to two or three times their length when cooked.
